Pedestrian struck by car at Yonge and Dundas

A pedestrian was struck by a car west of Yonge and Dundas streets at around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Paramedics identified the victim as a female between 25 and 28 years of age. According to paramedics, she sustained non life-threatening injuries.

The car was travelling westbound and struck the pedestrian who was jaywalking across Dundas Street West at the time, according to Const. Hector Macdonald of Toronto Police Services.

A bystander at the scene said the woman flew several feet upon being struck.

The driver is being cooperative and is under investigation.
