Today as you stroll through Dundas Square, fountains surprise and bilboards surround you.

Before Yonge and Dundas became home to a public square, before the walls of a movie theatre became the view from Lake Devo instead of the CN tower, the edge of campus was a completely different scene.

The story of that transformation captivated The Eyeopener in 1998. We are pleased to bring you The Other Side of the Street, a Canadian Community Newspaper Award-winning investigative series in one place for the first time.
