Pick the Ryersonian of the Year

You know someone awesome. He or she does beyond what’s expected, does it well and keeps on smiling.

That person deserves to be recognized for his or her accomplishments. So nominate your top pick for Ryersonian of the Year!

Since 1975, the Ryerson Faculty Association dubs someone Ryersonian of the Year. Winners have worked to improve Ryerson or their community over the past year, through volunteer work or as part of their job.

You don’t need to be a prof or a head honcho to claim the title. You don’t even need to go here. And yes, you can nominate yourself.

The lucky winner gets a certificate or plaque, as well as the joy of having his or her hard work acknowledged.

This year, the Eyeopener was asked to nominate someone. We’ve decided to let you decide. You see things we don’t. You know people we would love to meet, but we can’t since we’re cooped up in our office.

Who’s made a difference in your life here at Ryerson? Email editor@theeyeopener.com or send us a video explaining why your person should win by March 24. We’ll profile the top three candidates in the newspaper on March 30, and choose the best candidate as our Eyeopener nominee.

Choose wisely. Choose awesomely. Happy nominating!
