A white Cadillac Escalade SUV crashed into the north entrance of the Sally Horsfall Eaton Centre at Ryerson around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The vehicle was travelling westbound on Gerrard Street East, past Jarvis Street, when it swerved suddenly, colliding with another vehicle before crashing into the building.

The second vehicle involved in the crash.

The driver of the car that was hit, Carlos Angulo-Rivas, said the Cadillac struck the right side of his car as he was pulling out of a parking spot.

“I was parking [and] when I left, the car came too fast.  It crossed the yellow line and crashed,” said Angulo-Rivas.

Angulo-Rivas estimated the Cadillac was travelling at least 50 km/h.

So far, no injuries have been reported.

More to come.
