By Daniel Rosen

Top League of Legends player Jason “WildTurtle” Tran was at Ryerson to sign autographs on Wednesday.
“It’s great meeting my fans,” Tran said. “Nobody too creepy.”
Tran, an 18-year-old Toronto-local, is considered to be one of the top League of Legends players in the world. He is currently placed at number one on the ladder, a ranking for North American League of Legends players.
League of Legends is a popular videogame, played by over 35 million people worldwide. Top players often compete in tournaments for cash prizes. In April, Tran’s team took first place at the North American Spring playoffs, winning $50,000.
The signing was organized by by GAMER, Ryerson’s multiplayer gaming and e-sports club, but Tran isn’t sure when he’ll have a moment to meet his local fans again.
“It’ll probably be a very long time before I do another meet up like this,” Tran said. “I just don’t have enough time.”
