By Jordan Mady

Ryerson’s own Vivian Kwok will represent Canada at the World University Badminton Championship in Cordoba, Spain, according to an announcement made on Tuesday.

The second-year interior design student had an impressive 2013-14 season, winning a silver medal in women’s singles and bronze in women’s doubles at the OUA championships. She was named an OUA all-star for her efforts.

Kwok will don the red and white alongside teammate Bethany So, a University of Toronto student. Kwok and So won gold as an unranked pair in women’s doubles at the Canadian University and College National Championship.

The Ryerson H.H. Kerr Female Athlete of the Year award finalist will compete in both singles and doubles in the 13th edition of the event which runs from July 23 to 29.
