Rams on the road: soccer takes first road trip to Ottawa

Men’s soccer wins 4-0 over Carleton

The Ryerson men’s soccer team (4-0-0) rolled over the Carleton Ravens easily 4-0 on Saturday, according to Ryerson Athletics. Viktor Anastasov had two goals for the Rams while Marko Miketic and Raheem Rose also scored.

The win extends the men’s regular season unbeaten streak to 31 games (23-0-8). The last time the team lost in the regular season was Sept. 2, 2012 against the Carleton Ravens.

Women’s soccer losses 1-0 to Carleton

The Ryerson women’s soccer team (0-3-0) was unable to secure their first win of the season Saturday, losing 1-0 to the Carleton Ravens.

Sarah Royer’s header in the 72nd minute was all it took for the Ravens to win, according to the OUA.

The women will be back in action Sunday when they visit the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees.

Women’s soccer crushed by Ottawa

The University of Ottawa GeeGees were relentless against the Ryerson women’s soccer team (0-4-0) Sunday, beating them 9-0.

It was 5-0 at the half, including a hat-trick from Katherine Bearne, according to Ottawa Athletics. The GeeGees didn’t hold back in the second half either, adding four more goals, including three in the final 15 minutes.

The women’s team will look to pick themselves up next weekend when they travel to U of T to play the Varsity Blues.
