Ryerson security found 28 rocks of crack cocaine in a campus alley early Monday morning.
A security officer spotted two men arguing at 1:29 a.m. in front of 240 Jarvis Street.
When security went in to investigate, several more men appeared. “As soon as we confirmed that they were dealing in narcotics, we called Metro Police,” said Ryerson security supervisor Terry Ladouceur. “As soon as police arrived, the group scattered.” At approximately 3:45 a.m., another security guard saw the same group return. “We went in with several of our guards and asked the group to get off Ryerson property,” Ladouceur said.
After a search of the area, security found a green garbage bag containing the crack rocks.
