An architecture professor, who has left the school, is being investigated by Ryerson’s Faculty Association.
Architecture professor Maurice Lerman is no longer teaching at Ryerson, say architecture students.
The RFA is unwilling to comment.
“I simply can’t say anything,” said Michael Doucet, RFA president. “The matter is under investigation.”
Michael Miller, chair of architecture, said he wouldn’t talk about personnel matters.
Lerman could not be reached for comment.
Normally a matter under investigation is taken to the RFA’s appeals committee, where the parties try to reach a resolution instead of going to arbitration, said Terry Gillin, chair of appeals.
“The role of the appeals committee is proper process under the collective agreement,” he said.
