The CIBC is launching a bank@work program for Ryerson’s staff and faculty.
The pilot program is the fist of its kind in Canada. Some of the services it will offer staff and faculty include a “no-fee” bank plan, seminars on taxes and RRSPs, and investment advice.
A CIBC financial consultant will be working full-time at Ryerson from an office in Jorgenson Hall. Starting Monday, he will be conducting introductory 45-minute seminars. The program is being paid for by CIBC.
Linda Grayson, Ryerson’s v.p. administration and student affairs, said she first approached the CIBC about the program last June. She said she has asked about the bank to look into creating a similar program for students.
