By Melissa Bell

Students will have the chance to win up to $5,000 i tuition grants courtesy of Daimler Chrysler and RyeSAC could win a painted Chrysler PT Cruiser at Thursday’s Carnival in the Quad. Students can paint between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the Quad. Eight other universities are involved in the competition. Students at Waterloo, Carleton, Queen’s York and McGill Universities and the University of Toronto, British Columbia and Western Ontario will also have a chance to paint the car this week.

At the end of the day, a Chrysler representative will take a digital photo of the painted car. I will be posted on the Internet at www.upath.com and, later this month, people can vote for the one they like best. If Ryerson wins, the car will be used for school events during the year. Students from all the universities are then entered into a draw to win one of three Chrysler tuition grants. One is for $5,000 and two others are for $2,500. The money goes directly to the financial services department.
