Members of the Ryerson Muslim Students’ Association sported pink hijabs in front of the SCC building on Wednesday to raise awareness for breast cancer while aiming to remove the stereotypes surrounding the hijab.

Pink Hijab day is an international initiative that takes place around the globe. Students on campus stopped by the SCC to take photos, learn about the hijab, and enjoy baked goods and pink lemonade.

All the proceeds that were raised were donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
