The winners of last week’s Ryerson Students’ Union byelection are Tarisai Ngangura for faculty director of FCAD, and Mayank Verma for faculty director of the Engineering and Architecture course union.
Voter turnout was only 2.6 per cent out of the entire eligible student population, according to Ryerson University statistics and the records of the election’s returning officer.
Ngangura beat out her opponent, Colleen Filson, by just six votes for FCAD representative. Verma beat her runner-up, Lillie Qiu, by a margin of fourteen votes for Engineering and Architecture course union representative.
