Toronto police have arrested and charged a man after an alleged sexual assault steps from campus on Sunday.
Biao Zhou, 47, made his first court appearance Monday morning, charged with forcible confinement and sexual assault.
Authorities responded to a sexual assault call on Sunday at Gerrard Street East and Church Street. Police say a man confined and sexually assaulted the 22-year-old victim.
The victim knew her assailant, according to police.
Police officials would not comment on whether the victim was or was not a Ryerson student.
Police believe there may have been other victims.
