Rapper French Montana is on Gould Steet.
The latest in a long line of Ryerson Students’ Union (RSU) surprise guest appearances, the rapper showed up at an impromptu orientation week concert tonight. They’re calling this a 6Fest pop-up to promote their upcoming event.
This comes after last year, where the students’ union made bringing Drake to each of its large concerts their calling card and brand namesake.
“I think it’s a pretty big achievement to bring out big artists to Ryerson. Frosh and Week of Welcome has been pretty good so far,” said RSU president, Obaid Ullah.
“I think students should be looking forward to having a really good time and they should be privileged that they are a part of the biggest university musical festival.”
The RSU has sold around 9000 tickets, but has yet to announce surprise guests for the 6Fest event at the end of the month.
Photos soon to come.
