Students and faculty came to show respect and share a moment of silence today at the 11th hour for Ryerson’s Remembrance Day ceremony. The Ryerson community gathered at the Quad to reflect on the men and women who sacrificed and lost their lives defending our country. Speakers included Tamara Jones, vice-president equity of the Ryerson Students’ Union and Ryerson President Mohamed Lachemi.
Lachemi spoke of unity, a feeling that comes through a sense of community that he says we are lucky to be a part of. He said that it is important to remember the millions of lives that were lost in order for us to stand here, with this sense of unity.
