Ryerson announced all classes will be closed on Feb. 6, due to deteriorating weather conditions, including freezing rain.
In a tweet, Ryerson University’s account announced all classes will be cancelled as of 1 p.m.
A statement posted on Ryerson’s website said all classes, university-run student events, research labs, business services and administrative operations will also be cancelled. Student residences will remain open.
Classes or labs that are already in process or have a regular end time past 1 p.m. will need to finish at 1 p.m.
“Though it happens rarely, if severe weather conditions put the safety of the community at risk, the university may close operations,” according to Ryerson’s webpage on weather closures.
Any additional updates will be provided on Ryerson’s twitter account.
