The seven students running for election on Ryerson University’s Board of Governors (BoG) have been announced.

The candidates are:

  • Sadat Ahmed
  • Karol Bahnan
  • Iyvan Chandran
  • Kruti Dave
  • Ahmadreza (Reza) Khonsari
  • Olivia Karp
  • Tay Rubman

Ryerson’s BoG is the body responsible for the university’s financial well-being. Three student members can be elected to the board.

Voting beings on March 4 at 8 a.m. and goes until March 7 at 4:30 p.m.

Correction: Edmund Sofo withdrew his candidacy after an updated proclamation email to students was sent out Feb. 25. Sofo’s name was inadvertently left off the initial email, according to the BoG’s returning officer.
