As Ryerson students, most of us can say that we’ve attended a Rams sporting event throughout our time on campus. As various athletes take the field, or the court, or the rink in their jerseys, have you ever stopped to think about what it takes for them to compete? We have, which is why we’ve created a video series, Rise of the Week.
Once a week, we take a look at the life of a Rams athlete. This week we were joined by Kevin Pingol, who took us through his upper body workout routine.
Pingol is an outfielder for the Ryerson Rams baseball team. The third-year student from Scarborough, Ont. chooses to stay in shape by eating well and working out with dumbbells, rather than a bar. He chooses to do this so he can keep pressure off his shoulders and wrist when lifting. His diet during the season consists of high protein and complex carbs. Watch the rest below.
