In his third year at Ryerson University, visually impaired student Johnny To, has had little luck in finding accommodations from the school to help him get to classes on campus. As a student who pays tuition like everyone else, Johnny feels that he should be able to receive help from the schools Academic Accommodation Services (AAS) centre to help him get to class. But after three years Johnny has achieved little more than a temporary walking assistant that will help him for only six weeks. After the RSU heard about Johnny’s situation, they are now looking into the issues with inaccessibility with Ryerson and AAS.
