The first day of 6 Fest, a festival organized by the Ryerson Students’ Union, was headlined by DJ Diplo.
Hip-hop artist Pusha T took the stage performing hits such as I Don’t Like, Mercy, Move That Dope, and premiered the song Drug Dealers Anonymous. Grand Theft, Thugli and Toronto’s DJ Mix N Match also performed.
Thousands of Ryerson students and other attendees spent hours in a parking lot by the Port Lands on Cherry Street.
Security had to stop guests from shoving each other and also stopped a fight that took place in the front of the crowd.
The press was told to leave the media pit for the majority of Diplo’s performance, who performed for about an hour and a half.
More to come tomorrow on the second day of 6 Fest.
