A U-Haul truck crashed into a traffic light post on Ryerson campus late Friday night.
When emergency responders arrived at Church and Gould streets around 8:30 p.m., the driver’s seat was empty.
“So far, the situation is that the person who was driving the [U-Haul] has failed to remain on the scene,” said Muhammad Hasham, the tow truck driver called onto the scene to pick up the U-Haul.
Toronto police at the scene of the accident declined to comment.
