Staff members feel alienated from the university and their peers, complaining they are overworked and under-appreciated. As strained contract negotiations continue, both sides hope to resolve faculty's low morale. They are also looking for leadership from Ryerson president Claude Lajeunesse, who must address faculty morale in his next five years.
