Why do you accept advertisements which are invitations to plagiarism? The Ryerson calendar definition of “Academic Misconduct” includes representing “as one’s individual writing and/or final product a jointly written or produced submission of any description, unless the instructor has explicitly approved a co-authorized submission.”
Two of the classified ads in your current issue contravene this ruling. One implies (Free pickup and delivery at Ryerson!”) that they will take away your rough draft, perhaps even your notes, and return a final product.
Do you ever investigate these services before you accept their money? Do you approve of wealthier students being able to buy better grades? Isn’t everyone’s degree debased when employers find that some students with As and Bs in writing-intensive courses can’t write a memo or put a report together on their own?
