Now Magazine readers have voted Ryerson’s own Ernie the hot dog vendor as Toronto’s best in its 1999 poll.
The talkative vendor has been a staple at the corner of Victoria and Gould streets for more than 18 years.
He said the key to winning the poll was being friendly and outgoing. “You’re not coming for the hot dog,” he said. “You’re coming for the experience.”
