Ryerson’s men’s basketball team will take flight in the Air Canada Centre (ACC) Wednesday, Oct. 18, after the Raptor’s Cup tournament get underway.
The Rams take on the Centennial Cols at the hangar in their second game of the tournament that pits Toronto university and college teams against each other.
The Rams first game is Tuesday, Oct. 17 against the George Brown College Huskies at 8 p.m. in Kerr gym.
Wednesday’s game will start after the Raptors’ NBA exhibition against the Dallas Mavericks, which starts at 7 p.m. Students can get into both games by picking up $15 tickets at RyeSAC.
The same situation applies to the Rams third tournament game, scheduled after the Raptors’ 7 p.m. exhibition against the Charlotte Hornets, Saturday, Oct. 21.
Now in its third year, the Raptors Cup has expanded to a three-month series, with the final games being played on Dec. 22.
The men’s team’s regular-season games against York University and the University of Toronto next month will count in the series’ standings.
For the second-straight year, a women’s bracket is included in the tournament.
Ryerson’s women’s team opens the three-time series against York, Friday Nov. 10. At the ACC. Its only other game is a regular-season match-up against U of T, Nov. 30 in Kerr gym.
