Eyeopener Elections: March 31

Do you like drinking beer or other delicious beverages such as chocolate milk? Do you want to write, edit and expose Ryerson’s deepest darkest secrets?

If you said yes to all of the above, that’s great. Because we’re looking for fresh meat!

As the school year comes to an end, we need to elect a new masthead for Fall 2011. Every (paid) editor job is available, meaning we need students to run for:

  • Editor-in-chief (1 position available)
  • News (2)
  • Associate News (1)
  • Features (1)
  • Biz & Tech (1)
  • Arts & Life (1)
  • Sports (1)
  • Photo (2)
  • Associate Photo (1)
  • Fun (1)
  • Community (1)
  • Media (1)
  • Online (1)

Any student can run. You do not need to be a journalism student to get involved! Just be awesome.

Voting takes place on April 1. You need six contributions to cast your ballot. You can run even if you haven’t volunteered six times.

You’ll also have to deliver a two-minute speech (5 minutes if you’re running for EIC). Please bring a poster on 8 1/2-by-11-size paper to the Eyeopener office before March 31. We like funny. Or alternatively, humorous. Your choice.

Swing by SCC 207 to pick up a nomination form and to ask us any questions. Then come to the elections at the Wolf and the Firkin (43 Elm St.) on March 31 at 7 p.m. We’re looking forward to seeing you!
