After Health Canada announced recommendations about energy drinks, Media Editor Lee Richardson went and asked people what they thought of the news.
UPDATE –
The federal Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq has rejected the recommendations made by the Health Canada expert panel.
But new regulations regarding energy drinks will be put in place. They include:
– Limiting the amount of caffeine in a single to 180 mg.
– Requiring that labels highlighting the amount of caffeine in the product.
– Requiring warnings regarding mixing energy drinks with alcohol.
