A crash between a minivan and a Canada Post truck blocked the intersection of Church and Gerrard Streets Thursday afternoon.

The minivan was travelling east on Gerrard Street when it collided with the truck, which was turning left onto Church, at around 4 p.m. The top right corner of the truck crushed the van’s bumper.

There were no injuries.

The truck driver, who would give his name only as Gord, said he was turning left when the minivan sped through on a red light.

“I didn’t think he would keep barrelling through. It’s unbelievable… unbelievable,” he said.

“It looks like my fault, but you know what Toronto is like.”

Construction worker Manny Garcia was in the minivan. He said the traffic light was yellow at the time of the crash.

“I’m frustrated, I guess. I’m not happy, that’s for sure.”

At 4 p.m., traffic at the intersection was slowly moving around the crash.

A tow truck was preparing to tow the minivan.
