The deputy minister and associate secretary of cabinet, policy and delivery in the Ontario cabinet office, Steven Davidson, has been appointed Ryerson’s Ontario public service deputy minister champion.

Davidson, who was also the deputy minister of tourism, culture and sport for Toronto’s 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games, will “promote mutual understanding” between Ryerson and Ontario Public Service (OPS) in his new position, according to a press release.

Davidson’s role as deputy minister and associate secretary of the cabinet is to work with OPS ministries and the premier’s office to manage government policy and legislative agenda.

Davidson says he’s “especially interested” in working with Ryerson in the policy development field.
