Men’s baseball double-header rained out against Brock

By Ben Waldman

So much for an afternoon of baseball.

Ryerson’s men’s baseball team got four pitches into its first game against the Brock Badgers on Saturday before rain led to the delay and then cancellation of the two-game series at Stan Wadlow Park.

“There’s always a home date reserved for makeup games,” Rams coach Ben Rich said. That date, Rich added, will likely be Oct. 8 at Stan Wadlow Park, though nothing has been set in stone.

This game was also to be the team’s inaugural “Think Pink” game, designed to raise awareness about breast cancer within the community.

Rich was optimistic that the Think Pink game will be rescheduled as well, pointing to the Oct. 1 game against Waterloo as a possible time slot.

Rams starting pitcher Quinn Cumming pitched two balls and two strikes to the first and only Brock batter. He’ll have to wait a while to see if he can get strike three.
