Ryerson still hasn’t confirmed why 11 members of the men’s volleyball team were suspended on Jan. 10. At the time, Rams staffer Andrea Elliott told The Eyeopener: “The only explanation I can give you at this time is that the suspended players were found to have violated the student-athlete code of conduct.”
The suspension ended early and Ryerson continued to stay tight-lipped.
The Eye asked Ryerson athletics director Ivan Joseph if he would ever explain what the players did.
“I don’t believe so,” he said.
Sports editors Ben Waldman and Peter Ash join host Michael D’Alimonte to discuss this case and the overall lack of transparency in Ryerson athletics.
