Ryerson won’t disclose type or amount of acid stolen from a lab on campus

By Nathaniel Crouch

Two weeks ago, an unknown amount of acid was stolen from a lab in Kerr Hall East.

Ryerson University has declined to disclose any further details about the type of acid that was stolen or the amount of chemicals stolen until a police investigation is complete.

Ryerson security told The Eye they filed the incident to police and are unaware of the status of the police investigation.

A Toronto Police spokesperson said police are not investigating the incident.

The dean of science did not respond to a request for comment.

More to come.
