The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold men’s basketball team came out of the mid-season break red hot, with a 59-104 victory over the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) Timberwolves at the Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC) on Sunday afternoon.

The Bold were led in their lone exhibition game before the second half of the season by second-year guard Maxime Louis-Jean, who cashed in seven threes in the contest as part of his game-high 25 points.

After the first quarter, TMU held total control over UNBC, where every Bold player who checked in the game was able to score a bucket.

As TMU captures their first win of the new year, they look to improve on their 8-2 as they start back the Ontario University Athletics regular season later in the week.

UP NEXT: TMU will take on the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks Jan. 7 as their first official match of 2026. Ball tips off at 8 p.m. at the MAC.
