Dozens of women and men marched through the streets of Toronto on Friday, Sept. 20 in hopes to put an end to sexual violence and take back the night. The annual event gives women the opportunity to reclaim their voices and speak out against these crimes in hopes to promote a safer community.
Attendees gathered at 349 Ontario St. for a community fair, dinner and rally prior to the march.
This year’s theme was honouring and reclaiming self-determination of Indigenous peoples.
