Members of the Assyrian Chaldean Syriac Students Union (ACSSU) will be attempting to emulate the life of a refugee from Syria and Iraq in their fundraiser, Life of a Mesopotamian Refugee. Students from ACSSU will be sleeping outside of the SCC with no access to electronics and only surviving off of food that is given to them by others. They are accepting donations from people on campus to be put towards aid for refugees fleeing the atrocities of ISIS.
With the event running from Nov. 16 – 18, The Eyeopener’s Behdad Mahichi will be joining ACSSU during the fundraiser to document their experiences.
