Women’s soccer home opener

September 16, 2010
The women’s soccer team outplayed the Royal Military College of Canada throughout Saturday’s home opener at Lamport Stadium, but only managed to walk away with one point in a scoreless tie. The Rams’ offense got off to a quick start as they pressured the Paladins’ defence early on and were able to get a flurry of breakaways and shots on net. Though it was clear that Ryerson was wearing down RMC’s defence, they had nothing to show for the bounty of scoring opportunities.

Quidditch in the quad

September 9, 2010
Inspired by the Harry Potter books, Muggle Quidditch is a sport that is growing all across the globe and especially in university sports. A cross between manhunt, dodge ball and basketball, Muggle Quidditch is an extremely physically demanding sport that requires some athleticism to play. Perhaps surprisingly, it is a contact co-ed sport with full body tackles. If you are interested in joining Ryerson's team, practices are every Sunday from 4-6 p.m. in the quad and everyone is welcome to come out and play.
