Canadian hip hop musician Shad performed on Friday during the Ryerson Students' Union parade and picnic. A graduate of Wilfred Laurier University, Shad recorded his first album in his last year of studies and recently was nominated for the Polaris music prize. His latest album, TSOL, has spawned numerous hits including Rose Garden and Ya I get it. The Eyeopener's community editor Allyssia Alleyne caught up with Shad before he went on stage.
