The new face of Yonge and Dundas

January 13, 1999
As the expropriation deadline nears for the Yonge-Dundas redevelopment, the store lights have been shut and signs have gone up announcing closures. On Yonge Street, all properties south of HMV stopping short of the Hard Rock Café will be torn down. The city plans to raze the grounds south of Dundas to construct a public square and underground parking garage. Bothe projects will be finished in 2000.
